With the creation of “Light Talks”, a series of informal talks within the company, there was a necessity to create a new website where all the information related to these presentations could be found. Each “Light Talk” has a maximum duration of 12 minutes and the speakers can choose any theme or interest of their liking to share with the colleagues.
As the first edition had already took place, part of the branding of the event had already been developed. My role was to take that and design the UX, UI and branding for the website.
The website has two different parts: a chronological archive of the past editions of the Talks, where we can find videos and photos, and a homepage with the information about the next edition (time, place, speakers and themes).
One of the cool features is the fact that when you arrive at the homepage you can’t do anything before clicking on the switch and turning on the light because “in the dark you can’t see”. I really enjoyed working on this project and the fact that I had a bit more of creative freedom, as well as the fact that I worked more closely with the front-end developer, made it a more experimental and immersive website with a lot of small details.
